WELCOME TO DHIVI'S WORLD! "Whatever good things we build, end up building us" -Jim Rohn Hi, I’m Dhivya – an architect by profession and a curious explorer by passion. With a strong foundation in design, I’m currently delving into diverse creative and professional realms. Whether it’s conceptualizing spaces, managing projects, or picking up new skills beyond the drawing board, I thrive on multitasking and embracing change. Every day is an opportunity to learn, unlearn, and grow – and I’m here for it all, one layer at a time. A Day in My Life – Through the Lens of an Architect & Explorer A typical day in my life begins with movement – not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. I kick-start my mornings with a dose of physical exercise, a time that allows me to center myself before the day's rush begins. It’s my way of preparing for the dynamic roles I juggle through the hours that follow. Then comes my commute – not in a private car or cab, but through the veins of the city’s public transport system. Trains, buses, share autos – they’re not just modes of travel; they’re experiences in themselves. Every journey brings me face to face with strangers from all walks of life – a silent old lady with tired eyes, a noisy group of students debating life, a vegetable vendor with stories etched in wrinkles. I’ve spoken to many, argued with a few, and observed even more. Sometimes it’s pleasant, sometimes it’s chaotic – but always human. These daily interactions, unplanned and raw, teach me more about people than any book ever could. Eventually, I reach my workspace. Architecture may be my profession, but my approach to it is anything but mechanical. While the day’s schedule is often pre-planned and tightly packed, each project I handle, every line I draw or site I review, carries a new challenge. From creative ideation to practical detailing, from team coordination to quiet moments of sketching – it’s a mix of structure and spontaneity. Between site visits, review meetings, software crashes, coffee breaks, and sometimes even mini meltdowns – the day rolls on. I often multitask, shifting from one role to another, and though exhausting at times, it’s the kind of chaos I’ve come to love. Because for me, being an architect is not just about designing buildings. It’s about designing my own path – one full of motion, interaction, stories, and the constant pursuit of growth.
